Red Acre Farm
It’s always a joy to visit my friends on their family farm in Southern Utah. I’ve been photographing the farm’s evolution over the years. The daughter Sara started the farm at age 14 utilizing their small two acre high desert lot which sits at an elevation of 5900 feet in the red soil of Utah. Now in her early twenties, she and her mom, Symbria, now run a fully biodynamic farm on the same land. They feed their community, provide education on regenerative farming, and advocate on the state level to protect the land, animals and small farmers alike. To learn more about the farm visit RedAcreFarmCSA.org. And if you are ever headed through Cedar City, Utah (near the entrance to Zion National Park), stop by their "Farm Stand" and pick up goodies including produce, baked goods, and jams... all grown on the farm. It’s worth the short detour! You’ll be amazed at what they have built on just a few small acres.
